FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When should I replace the oil in my car engine?
If your car is under warranty, refer to your car’s manufacturer’s warranty guide for details on your lube/oil service intervals. These may fall outside of your general/regular car services. Speak to C-Net Car Service Centre for advice or to book a lube service.
How often should out-of-warranty cars change engine oil?
Out-of-warranty or second-hand vehicles run the risk of oil leaks at any time. Keep an eye on the ground, under the engine, where you park your car. If you see an oil pool or spots, ensure that you regularly check/top up your oil and have your engine steam cleaned to avoid fire. Ask C-Net Car Service Centre for an express lube/oil service to be safe and to be made aware of any other engine issues.
Why is my car’s oil level low?
Car engines do use up (or leak) oil. Make sure you have checked and topped up your oil as per the car’s user manual. If the levels still remain low, you may have a faulty gasket or a crack/hole in your oil sump. To be safe, contact C-Net Car Service Centre and arrange an inspection of your vehicle.
Why must I put oil and water in my car?
Oil and water lubricates and cools the engine so that it works properly. If you neglect oil and water maintenance, your vehicle’s engine may overheat and fail (seize). Always check your oil and water levels (Usually when you put petrol in your car). Undertake a C-Net Car Service Centre lube and coolant service at least every 12 months – including an engine flush.
